In the villages of the rugged, mountainous terrain of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh, there is little in the way of good educational opportunities for children. Whilst there are one or two Government schools in the area, the journey to school for many children is too long and can be treacherous.

For many years now, Project Possible has partnered with Alikadam Hostel, providing a safe and stable residential environment for the Chittagong Hill Tracts' children and young adults.

Living in the hostel allows the children to benefit from access to good, local schools and the opportunities to develop educationally and socially.

In our home villages, we had no opportunity for schooling whatsoever. For us, coming to the Alikadam Hostel was a gift, as it has given us access to school and time and space for study.

Their project

Giving access to a world of opportunity

Your monthly gifts will help the 60 resident children and young people to enjoy a stable and caring environment while benefiting from the best available education.

Your financial commitment will support our dedicated staff ensuring the day-to-day running of the Hostel and provide learning materials and afterschool support for the children.

The opportunity

£9 a month will support one child or young person access education

For one child or young person, you can:

Your gift will provide:

Support of the dedicated staff at the Alikadam Hostel
Learning materials, books and stationery, where required
Accommodation and foot at the Hostel

All of your gift will be project-focused, with none of it going towards admin or fundraising.
