Starting businesses
For Isabel*, being able to run not one, but two, of her own businesses is a dream come true.
After escaping sexual exploitation, finding safe employmentnwas vital for Isabel to ensure she could provide for her family. After a financial literacy course with our partners, Project Suma, Isabel developed an idea to start a small business and went on to receive a loan to open a snack stall.
The snacks sold well and Isabel was able to repay her loan in full. Project Suma mentored Isabel throughout her first venture, and their encouragement sparked another business idea of selling clothing for adults and children. Thanks to supporters like you, Isabel is thriving. She is building a hope-filled future for herself and her family.
