Sarah and Irene's story
Hope and healing
Because Sarah* was born with a deformity in her foot, both mother and daughter experienced severe rejection and ostracization. For many years, they lived in isolation and without hope, but one day, they heard that Sarah could receive treatment for her foot.
When they arrived at Dreamland Mission Hospital, the doctors recommended that Sarah receive corrective surgery to realign her foot. During the treatment process, Irene*, Sarah’s mother, met regularly with the hospital chaplain, who provided excellent support and shared the good news of Jesus Christ. Upon hearing this, Irene became radiant with true hope, she forgave those who had mistreated her and her daughter, and through her faith, God freed her from depression.
Irene later shared, “my time at Dreamland Mission Hospital made my spirit rejuvenated and helped me return to myself.”
