Newborns who lose their mothers in childbirth are at a high risk of malnutrition. This is one of the factors that contributes to 1 in 10 children in Chad dying before their fifth birthday. Alongside our local partners, The Bethanie Centre nurtures underweight and motherless babies back to health, all the while training the babies’ carers in infant care.
